Symbolwise

Accessibility

Symbols are inherently visual, so accessibility is central to how Symbolwise is built, not an afterthought. We target WCAG 2.2 AA: semantic landmarks and heading structure, keyboard-operable navigation and forms, visible focus states, sufficient colour contrast, respect for reduced-motion preferences, and — critically — every seeded symbol includes a plain-language visual description (e.g. “a vertical staff with one snake coiled around it”) that works for screen-reader users and also powers our description search.

This is an early-stage product and we won't always get it right. If you hit an accessibility barrier, please tell us — select “Accessibility feedback” as the reason — and we'll prioritise it.
