Symbolwise sets no analytics, advertising or marketing cookies during private beta. Only strictly necessary technical cookies required for the site to function may be set.
Analytics are prepared but switched off. They activate only once the site is publicly launched and you have accepted them using the banner that will appear. Until you choose, and if you decline, no analytics script is loaded at all — your browser does not contact Google, because the decision is made on our server before the page is sent.
What each cookie is for

We do not send what you typed into the search box to any third party. Search terms are recorded on our own systems only, and only so the editorial team can see which symbols people looked for and could not find.
To change your mind, delete the symbolwise_analytics_consent cookie in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
