A capital C, swapping every particle for its antiparticle.
Also known as: Charge conjugation, C operator, Particle-antiparticle exchange
Charge conjugation replaces every particle by its antiparticle. Like parity it is violated by the weak interaction, and even the combination CP is violated slightly — which is one of the necessary conditions for a universe made of matter.
Denotes charge conjugation, the operation replacing each particle with its antiparticle.

Is violated by the weak interaction, as is the combined CP operation, the latter first observed in neutral kaon decay in 1964.

Is one of Sakharov's three conditions for baryogenesis, alongside baryon number violation and departure from equilibrium.
