Denotes the deeply incised gullies of the Chinese loess plateau on a topographic map.
Exists as a distinct symbol because loess gullies are steep enough to be impassable and dense enough to dominate a sheet, so a Chinese map of the plateau needs to draw them as a feature class rather than as contour detail.
