A flashing green arrow — and a fast flash means a bulb has failed.

A green arrow either side of the instrument cluster. The one thing worth knowing is that a rate roughly double the normal is a deliberate signal: a bulb on that side is out.
A green tell-tale in the form of an arrow, flashing in time with the direction indicators on the corresponding side of the vehicle.

A flash rate around twice normal indicates a failed indicator bulb on that side. The behaviour is required rather than incidental, so that a driver learns of the failure without leaving the vehicle.
