Where a double centre line has one solid and one broken part, the rule depends on which is nearer the driver: a solid line on your side means you may not cross it, a broken one means you may. The line facing the other carriageway governs the other driver, not you.
Governs overtaking at the centre of the carriageway, the rule being set by the line nearer the driver.
