A hand above wavy heat lines, warning of burn risk.
Also known as: Burn hazard symbol, Hot surface warning
The hot surface symbol shows radiating heat and often a hand, warning of a surface hot enough to burn without being visibly so. On induction hobs it warns of residual heat from the pan rather than from the hob itself, which surprises new users.
