A circle with letters and a number tagging a process instrument.
Also known as: ISA tag circle, Process instrument tag
On a piping and instrumentation diagram every instrument is a circle carrying a letter code and a loop number. The first letter names the measured variable and those following name the function, so FIC means a flow indicating controller.
Tags a process instrument with a circle carrying a functional letter code above a loop number.
Contexts: Technical drawing
Reads first letter for the measured variable and subsequent letters for the function, so the tag names what is measured and what is done with it.
