Also known as: Platform screen door Japan, Platform edge door marking
Marks the door openings of a Japanese platform screen door and the safe standing area beside them.
Marks where the doors of a platform barrier will open.
Contexts: Public information
Removes the need for the painted boarding marks it stands in front of and does not remove them, because a train of a different formation may still use the platform with the barrier doors held shut; the two marking systems coexist on many Japanese platforms and say different things.
Contexts: Public information
A run of panels along the platform edge with a marked opening at each door position, arrows on the panel faces and a coloured strip along the ground before them.
