The keep out of reach of children marking appears on almost all medicines and many household chemicals. It is deliberately unspecific: the hazard it addresses is access rather than any particular property of the substance, so the same mark appears on a mild analgesic and on something that would kill a toddler. It is usually reinforced by a child-resistant closure, which is a mechanism rather than a symbol and which the marking is not a substitute for.
