Governed by ISO 14021's rules for self-declared environmental claims — a distinct claim about recycled content, easily conflated with the plain recyclability loop since it reuses the identical graphic.
A loop without a percentage indicates general recyclability; the same loop with a percentage figure instead makes a distinct claim about how much recycled material the product or its packaging actually contains, substantiated as a whole number under ISO 14021.
An unsubstantiated or omitted percentage on this graphic is a non-compliant, potentially greenwashing use of the standard — the number is the entire distinguishing feature and is easy to miss on small packaging.
