A sliding scoreboard showing points and the break.
Also known as: Break counter, Snooker points board
A snooker scoreboard shows each player's points and the current break. The colours have fixed values — two for yellow up to seven for black — and the running break rather than the frame score is what a commentator tracks, because a single break can decide a frame.
Displays each player's points, the current break and the frame score, traditionally on a sliding manual board.
Contexts: History
Tracks the break separately because the colours carry fixed values from two to seven and a single unbroken sequence can settle the frame.
