The letters CE in a defined geometric form, declaring conformity in the EEA.
The CE mark is the manufacturer's own declaration that a product meets the EU requirements applying to it. It is not a safety certification and not a mark of quality, and it is not awarded by anybody.
Affixed by the manufacturer to declare that a product complies with the EU legislation applicable to it, which is a legal requirement for placing many product categories on the market in the European Economic Area.
