A small circle for a nasal.
Also known as: Thai anusvara
The Thai mark descended from the Indic anusvāra, written as a small circle above the letter.
Writes a nasal, chiefly in Pali and Sanskrit words, and combines with vowel signs to form other vowels.

Does double duty: inherited as a nasal mark, it was also recruited into the Thai vowel system, so the same circle is a consonant in one context and part of a vowel in another.

A small open circle set above the consonant.
