An instruction to return to the beginning.
Also known as: D.C., Da capo al fine
Da capo sends the player back to the start of the piece. In a da capo aria the repeat is where the singer is expected to ornament, so the instruction has a performance-practice meaning as well as a navigational one.
Instructs a return to the beginning of the piece, often qualified with 'al fine' to say where to stop.
