A numbered bracket giving different endings to a repeat.
Also known as: First and second time bars, Ending bracket
A volta bracket numbers alternative endings so that a repeated passage finishes differently the second time. The player takes the first bracket, repeats, skips it and takes the second, which is the one navigational rule notation assumes without stating.
Marks alternative endings to a repeated passage, numbered for the pass on which each is played.
